Gute Textadventures haben bewiesen, dass man sogar ganz ohne Grafik ein Spiel mit spannender Story und viel Spielspaß auf die Beine stellen kann. Auch heute werden immer wieder neue Textadventures entwickelt. So z. B. von Fabu, der ungewöhnlicherweise mit einem WordPress PlugIn gearbeitet hat:
The Monkey Island games have been among my all-time favourites since the very first part of the series. 2009 on April — before Tales of Monkey Island was announced — I spontaneously decided to produce a homage in form of a text adventure. I took a WordPress plugin I could adapt to my purposes and launched Escape from ASCII Island™ (German) a couple of days later.
In typischer Monkey Island Manier gilt es von der Insel zu entkommen. Spielen könnt ihr das Ganze auf Superlevel. Joho Piraten Joho!
